Art, Music, Crafts and Science
Ever wonder why purple is purple, or how an instrument works? What’s going on with your brain when you see an optical illusion? What makes weaving cloth possible? Science—chemistry, physics, biology, and other sciences—plays a role in everything we do. Enjoy fun activities that illustrate the science in the world around us.
Camp takes place 10am until noon for 5 days from July 15-19. You're welcome to drop your child off for the camp. Before the camp starts, we will follow up with a questionnaire to collect information about the child to ensure they're comfortable. Seats are limited and registration will close when the camp is full. If demand warrants it, we'll create another session in late July. Registrations cancelled after July 1 may be 50% refundable and registrations cancelled after July 8 are nonrefundable, and by purchasing a ticket you agree to these terms (feel free to get in touch if a situation arises as we may be able to make alternative arrangements).
Science Day Camp is presented by Ann Miller, Executive Director at Science is Elemental, a science education 501C3 nonprofit. For over twenty years, Ann has been involved as tutor, mentor, and coordinator of tutoring/mentoring activities for elementary school students. Ann received her Ph.D. in chemistry from the California Institute of Technology, and her B.A. in chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania.
